Our Mission
Custom Diving Services provides complete, safe, recreational and professional level diver training customized to fit the goals of the student diver.
Course Listings
Custom Diving Services is located in Beautiful Columbia South Carolina. Training staff consists of two primary dive professionals, Kathy Leckie and Steve Kelsay. We conduct training under the auspices of the Professional Association of Dive Instructors (PADI).
Kathy is a Registered Emergency Room Nurse as well as a PADI Divemaster and Assistant Instructor. She is a Master Scuba Diver and holds specialties in Enriched Air Nitrox, Underwater Archeology, Deep Diving, Night Diving, Black Water River Diving, Underwater Naturalist, and Equipment Specialist. She also is a certified tank inspector. Kathy is also CPR and ACLS certified.
Steve is a PADI Master Instructor and has been diving since 1963. He has worked as a commercial diver before becoming a dive instructor. Steve holds certification to teach 15 Specialty diver courses, and has authored two of these ( Underwater Archaeology and Black Water-River Diver). He is also a certified tank inspector. Steve has been a speaker at the South Carolina Maritime Archaeological conference held by the South Carolina Institute for Archaeology and Anthropology
